Survive The Walls is one of my other projects that I mentioned on my Fruit Slicer Game Page which originated from determining how to do physics based movement on a cube as a simple learning tutorial where I could familiarize myself with the unity work flow. As I furthered my understanding of how to use unity I began expanding on this initial concept which started as a learning aid. The basic Idea behind the Game is to avoid hitting the red walls while attempting to hit the white walls to score points. Various levels have slightly different twists on this basic formula (Eg. adding more walls, moving red walls, non-lethal spinning walls, etc.)

Again as with the previous title (Fruit Slicer) being in a prototype state don't expect a fully fledged amazing title. It is still a bit rough around the edges with various basic features still little bit lacking (Eg. Working Options menu and a How to Play menu however this is being implemented in the next update).

**Note: At this point in time the game currently only supports 16x9 aspect ratio resolutions due to UI/Camera scaling (May possibly expand this in the future) (The Windows Build)

About me/project:

I thought that I would just mention that I am a 3rd year software engineering student with a passion for game development. I am very new to the Unity game engine as well as to the process of developing games. Everyone has to start somewhere in life and I thought this may be that time for me to start. If you enjoy the title please let me know as well as anything you would like to see moving forward and any constructive criticism is welcomed.

Current Version and release notes (The two most recent notes will be shown here):

  • Version: Pre-Alpha 1.7 (Windows)
    • Added a new level
    • Added a basic how to play page
    • Rewrote the player movement logic as well as the Wall logic. The newest level utilizes them. The next release will have all previous levels updated to the new logic. (The rewrite was simply done as I have learned a lot over the last couple of weeks which allowed me to modularise my logic which will allow for quicker and easier level additions in the future)
